At Third & Wall, we believe great art starts with great artists. We’re always looking for fresh perspectives, distinctive voices, and artwork that brings something exciting to the design and decorative markets.
We partner with artists to publish and produce their work for a wide range of applications, including hospitality, multifamily, workplace, healthcare, retail, and residential interiors. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with artists whose work resonates with our clients and gives designers something new to discover.
What We Look For
We welcome artists working in a wide range of two-dimensional mediums, including painting, photography, mixed media, collage, printmaking, drawing, and more. We do not accept any AI-generated imagery.
While there is no single “Third & Wall style,” we’re especially interested in artists who have:
- Breadth and versatility across styles, subjects, color palettes, or collections.
- Consistent creative practice and a steady flow of new work. Fresh imagery gives designers more opportunities to discover an artist’s work and helps build momentum over time.
- Broad design appeal with artwork that can work across a variety of interiors while still feeling distinctive and current.
- High-quality digital files of their artwork, or the ability to provide physical artwork for professional image capture.
We’re interested in both established and emerging artists. Most importantly, we’re looking for artists who are serious about creating, growing, and building a lasting partnership.
What About Digital Files?
Our submission process is entirely digital. Please do not mail physical samples, originals, slides, transparencies, or printed copies unless we specifically request them.
Ideally, artists will already have high-resolution digital files suitable for professional reproduction.
If you don’t have high-resolution files, we can work with artists who are able to provide original artwork for professional image capture. Artwork generally needs to be unstretched, unframed, and able to be safely rolled and shipped in a tube.
Because we produce artwork at a variety of sizes, the quality and resolution of the original image are important considerations when evaluating submissions.
Requirements for high-res digital files submitted for publishing:
- Art must be photographed or scanned by an experienced fine art photographer or service bureau to provide the highest-quality digital files.
- Digital files must be captured at LEAST at 100% of actual size; preferably larger if the art is small.
- MINIMUM 300 DPI; higher DPI if possible.
- Example: a 20×30″ original art photographed at 100% and 300 DPI will result in a 6,000 x 9,000 pixel file.
- Files can be .TIF, .PNG or .JPG (saved at Maximum quality). Vector files can be .EPS or .AI (Adobe Illustrator).
Do NOT send digital files that have been artificially enlarged. Please send them at their original capture size.
What Types of Artwork Are We Looking For?
We don’t limit ourselves to a particular subject matter or aesthetic. We’re interested in a wide range of contemporary and timeless work, including abstract, figurative, botanical, landscape, still life, animals, architecture, travel, and more.
We’re especially drawn to artwork that feels well-executed, distinctive, current, versatile, and compelling. Whether it offers a fresh take on a familiar subject or introduces something completely unexpected.
How to Submit Your Work

We recommend including:
- A link to your website or online portfolio
- A selection of your strongest and most representative work
- A brief artist biography or statement
- Information about the digital files you have available
Please send a well-curated portfolio rather than a large collection of individual files. We want to get a clear sense of your creative voice, range, and overall body of work.
What Happens After You Submit?
Our Creative Team reviews submissions on an ongoing basis. We take the time to carefully consider each artist’s work and how it might fit within our collections.
If we see potential for a partnership, we may reach out for additional imagery or information about your work, creative process, and available files. We may also ask to see a broader selection of your portfolio.
Please understand that the review process can take some time, and we’re not able to respond personally to every submission.
If your work isn’t the right fit for Third & Wall, it is not a judgment on its quality or value. Our publishing decisions consider many factors, including our existing collections, current trends, client demand, subject matter, market needs, and the overall fit of an artist’s body of work. Sometimes great artwork simply isn’t the right fit for what we’re looking for at that moment.
What Happens If We Want to Work Together?
When we see a strong potential fit, we’ll reach out to begin a conversation.
We work closely with our artists to determine the best ways to present and reproduce their work and to identify opportunities across our product offerings and markets. Depending on the artist and the project, this may also include opportunities for original artwork and commissions.
Our artist relationships are intended to be long-term partnerships. We want to understand your work and goals so we can find meaningful ways to grow together.
How Do We Promote Our Artists?
Once you’re part of Third & Wall, you’re part of our artist community.
We introduce our artists’ work to our network of designers, retailers, hospitality clients, galleries, developers, and other trade professionals. Depending on the artist and the opportunities available, promotion may include our website, email marketing, social media, trade shows, direct outreach, advertising, and other media opportunities.
We believe successful partnerships are a collaboration. Artists who continue to create, develop their portfolios, and provide fresh imagery give us more opportunities to introduce their work to the market, and give designers more reasons to discover and return to their work.
